You’re invited to a demo of UBC’s new HR and Finance system (Workday) launching in April! We’re excited to build off the momentum and incredible interest of our first demo event, held on July 30. Over 1,000 faculty and staff registered to attend in person or via livestream.

Note: We will cover the same material demonstrated during the event in Jack Poole Hall on July 30. A third demo is planned for October 30 which will cover new material. Watch for more details soon.

Readiness Survey Results

In April, the Integrated Renewal Program (IRP) conducted a change readiness assessment to measure the university’s overall preparedness for change. The assessment consisted of a readiness survey, sent to all staff and faculty via UBC Broadcast, and focus groups with select staff and faculty.

The survey response rate was 13.8%, and based on the population and sample size, the margin of error was 1.96% at a 95% confidence level.

What did we measure?

Both the survey and focus group measured readiness in four key areas:

With more than 4,500 medical and health professional trainees spread across the province, the scale and breadth of UBC’s Faculty of Medicine is extensive. Representing the only Faculty of Medicine in British Columbia, embracing new models of partnership is key to its success. In recent years, the Faculty has welcomed collaborations with the Integrated Renewal Program (IRP) and the adoption of the UBC’s new HR and Finance system, Workday.

Dr. Roger Wong, Executive Associate Dean of Education at the Faculty of Medicine, recognizes the benefits the new system will bring.
