Launch 2 of Workday Student Begins!
February 26, 2024The following message was sent via email to IRP Student Stakeholders on the morning of February 26, 2024.
I am writing to you today in my capacity as Lead Executive Sponsor for the Integrated Renewal Program - Student (IRP Student), the program working to implement Workday Student at UBC. I am excited to share that Launch 2 of Workday Student has begun, as scheduled, today.
As you are already likely aware, Launch 2 is a phased approach. The system is live as of today, however, for most community members no action needs to be taken.
Here is a summary of what will be happening over the coming weeks.
FEBRUARY 26: LAUNCH 2 BEGINS
Workday Student is LIVE!
Data catch-up underway – data from Classic SIS being synched with Workday Student
For the majority of the community, no action is required until after March 11, 2024
Community members utilizing Launch 1 capabilities will maintain access to those Workday Student capabilities
MARCH 11: WORKDAY STUDENT IS READY FOR ALL STAFF AND FACULTY
All staff and faculty can perform tasks related to 24W in Workday Student based on their individual security roles
Ecosystem Applications will be deployed
Launch 2 training continues as planned. For more information on training visit irp.ubc.ca/training
MAY 21: UBC STUDENTS GAIN ACCESS TO WORKDAY STUDENT
New and current students will be able to access Workday Student for activities related to 2024W
Student readiness planning is underway. Visit irp.ubc.ca/student-readiness for current information
It is important to note that staff, faculty, and students will continue to use Classic SIS for all student administrative activities related to 23W and 24S sessions. Learn more at irp.ubc.ca/coexistence.
