What is a Functional Area?​

A functional area is a collection of business processes and associated security policies related to the same product features. The Integrated Renewal Program – Student (IRP Student) has numerous functional areas – following the student journey from application to graduation.  With the renewal of our student information system, each area has unique requirements. To build on our community's foundational knowledge, a high-level overview of each functional area is provided here, including core concepts and high-level changes. ​
