A Summary

What’s changing? 

  • The tools used to track student progression. E.g., the Academic Progress Report will replace Degree Navigator for those programs that are currently using the Degree Navigator reports; Student Notes and Student Accomplishments will be used to track graduate non-course milestones
  • Year-level promotion will be done automatically using faculty-specific rules that will be configured in the system. 'Year Level' will be labelled as 'Class Standing' in Workday Student
  • Sessional Evaluations outcomes will be streamlined to eight values split between two fields: Academic Standing and Additional Period Honours (UBC’s scholarly designation)

What's staying the same?

  • Advisors can track undergraduate and graduate student progression in the system
  • Advisors will run sessional evaluations in the system
  • Students can be promoted to the next academic year level in the system
