Issue Affecting Changing Student Year Level Data in SIS

What is the issue?  

Known Issue Updated - March 22 with updated resolution timing.

Between October 4, 2023, and March 12, 2024, changes made to Year Level and Session Evaluation for some student in the SIS were reverting to their original values.  

Who is impacted? 

Students who had Year Level manually changed in the SIS and were then subsequently matriculated into SIS for 2023W or 2024S – approximately 450 Year Level changes involving 330 students.

2023W and 2024S students whose records were sent from the Admissions Administrative Portal (AAP) to the SISC with a different program year level.

What is the impact?  

Award eligibility, registration pre-requisites, and registration open dates data is impacted in the affected student records (330 students).

What is the issue status?  

  • Root cause identified and fixed on March 12.
  • IRP functional teams have been provided with a list of impacted individual students so records can be reviewed in Workday and corrected as required.
  • A data fix will be applied to restore the correct Year Level data of affected students in the SIS. 

When will it be resolved?  

Data fix is targeted for completion on March 28, 2024.
