Workday Student: Resources and Support for UBC faculty and instructors
November 18, 2024The implementation of the Integrated Renewal Program – Student (IRP Student) is ending on November 30, 2024. This blog post will provide information on where you can access resources and support now and into the future.
Training Hub for Instructors
For training materials, FAQs, and user guides visit the Training Hub for Instructors (CWL login required). The Training Hub will continue to be available after November 30. Make sure to bookmark the Training Hub for continued access to these resources.

- Accessing and navigating the Teaching App

Technical assistance
For technical assistance, visit the UBC Self Service Portal (CWL login required). If you have an urgent issue or need to follow up on a submitted request, you can contact the Integrated Service Centre (ISC) by phone during business hours from Monday to Friday: UBC Vancouver (604-822-8200) or UBC Okanagan (250-807-8163).
Support from Enrolment Services (ES)
In preparation for the first use of grades entry in the Workday Final Grade Submission Tool (FGST), ES will provide a variety of support options for instructional staff and administrators who support grade entry.
1. Q&A on Zoom for Instructors and Administrator
Attendees at the Q&A sessions can review the grade entry process, ask questions, and troubleshoot specific issues. Three sessions in late November will be for administrators who support grade entry, with December sessions open to both administrators who support grade entry and instructors and teaching assistants who input grades. A link to the sessions was shared with all UBC Teaching Faculty and Instructors in an email from IRP Student on Monday, November 18. If you did not receive the email, please reach out to your Primary Transition Lead. Registration is not required.

2. Live Support
In addition to training documentation available on the Training Hub and Q&A Zoom sessions, ES will provide temporary live troubleshooting support for submitting final grades between December 9 to 23 during regular business hours. After December 23, users should submit a Workday Student support ticket.
Request live support by emailing es.livesupport@ubc.ca from your ubc.ca email account. Please include:
- Your full name
- Your department
- The course you are seeking grade entry support for
- A brief explanation of the issue Consider attaching screenshots of any error messages or Final Grade Submission Tool functionality that might aid the team in understanding the issue you are experiencing.
