Senders Unable to Review Recent Sent Messages in the Student Communications Tool

October 29, 2024

Instructors and staff who use the Student Communications Tool in Workday to send emails to students cannot view records of recently sent messages in the Student Communication Tool.

What is the Issue?

All emails being sent out via the Student Communications Tool are being flagged as Private, which means senders cannot review sent emails in Sent Communications. However, as part of a recent improvement to the tool, senders will automatically receive a copy of their sent email to their own email address as a confirmation that the message was sent. Note: Confirmation emails to senders will not include any student personal information.

Who is Impacted?

Instructors and staff who use the Student Communications Tool.

What is the impact?

This issue will impact any emails sent after 12:00 pm (noon) on Saturday, October 26.

What is the status?

We are working on a solution to this issue, and will provide an update once a fix is available.
