Resolved September 10 - Tuition waiver costs being charged to incorrect worktags

August 27, 2024

A solution for this issue is in place, and all affected tuition waivers have now been corrected. See status section below for the latest information

What is the Issue?

Tuition Waiver Salesforce Application (TUW) is sending tuition waivers to Workday without driver worktags, leading to incorrect worktags being charged.

Who is Impacted?

Financial administrators in departments that offer the tuition waiver benefit, whose worktags are being incorrectly charged for waivers.

What is the impact?

There are two main impacts for this issue:

  1. Incorrect worktags are being charged the tuition waiver amount;
  2. Waivers are not charged to the correct worktag.

Note: There is no impact to the submission of tuition waivers by UBC employees, and tuition waivers will continue to be processed as usual.

What is the status?

A solution has been found to prevent this issue, ensuring the correct worktags will be applied going forward. Employee IDs will now also be included in the memo field. Additionally, all August tuition waivers that were incorrect have now been corrected in Workday. Affected tuition waivers from September have also been corrected. If you continue to see any irregularities regarding tuition waiver costs, please submit a general Workday support request.
