Workday Student: When will UBC Students get access to the new system?

The implementation of Workday Student at UBC will transform the way we support learning and research by creating a critical foundation for a modern educational experience.  Launch 1 of Workday Student takes place in October 2023, followed by Launch 2 in February 2024. Shortly after Launch 2, in May 2024, UBC students will first gain access to Workday Student.

The timing of student access to Workday Student was decided to ensure that staff and faculty are ready and able to support students for the change. In order to maintain an exceptional experience for students, it is imperative that those who support them are well-prepared.
 

Benefits to Staff and Faculty

Launch 2 access for staff and faculty will continue as planned in February of 2024. The intention behind granting student access in May, instead of February 2024, is to allow staff and faculty a chance to become familiar with Workday Student, address any questions before work to support students begins, and provide time for the UBC community to get acclimated to working across both the Classic SIS and Workday Student during the Coexistence Period. Additionally, this decision will not impact admission timelines, including making and accepting offers or sending communications to students.
