September 17, 2024

Update: All medical/dental opt outs have now been processed.

What is the Issue?

Some students who have opted out of UBC’s health and dental coverage are still being charged a Health and Dental fee in Workday.

Who is Impacted?

An unknown number of students who have opted out of UBC’s health and dental coverage.

What is the impact?

Students are being charged a fee that they do not need to pay. These fees need to be removed.

What is the status?

We are working to identify which students have opted out of UBC’s health and dental coverage, and removing these fees. Students do not have to take any action at this time. If they have opted out, the Health and Dental fee will eventually be removed.
